What a great time I had at American Freedom Lodge. I went on the 2010 deer hunt. I had heard about this place through some friends of mine that live there in Ohio. It was nothing like I had heard or expected. These folks meet you at the gate with open arms and treat you like a brother.

I didn't see any deer until the third day. But, the first deer I did see, (holy cow) It was the biggest buck I have ever seen in the wild. I took my video camera out with us. The deer was a little far away but got some great pictures. I think everybody else by this time had gotten a deer. So, they took me to "The Secret blind". In the morning I shot a nice 8 point but, we could not find. Saw lots of deer and finally that evening I got to take a nice doe.

I have gone on similar hunt like this for Veterans. But, nothing in this world compares to the generosity of the American Freedom Lodge. I wish that every state and every Veteran could experience this.
